Job Description
Cook Out Restaurants is a renowned fast-food restaurant chain known for its commitment to quality, customer service, and innovation. As an expanding company, Cook Out has established a strong presence with a dedicated team that strives to maintain a high standard in every aspect of the business. From serving delicious shakes and burgers to managing back-end operational efficiency, Cook Out continues to grow steadily in a competitive market. The company prides itself on providing a welcoming and supportive work environment for its employees, combined with competitive pay, sign-on bonuses, and comprehensive benefits. Cook Out is committed to providing both customers and employees with the best possible experience, ensuring that operations run smoothly across all locations.
The role of Restaurant Maintenance Technician (HVAC and Refrigeration) at Cook Out Restaurants is a vital position within the maintenance department. This full-time role plays a key part in supporting multiple locations to ensure the restaurants operate seamlessly, efficiently, and safely. As a Restaurant Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for managing and repairing equipment central to the operation such as shake machines, refrigeration units including walk-in coolers and freezers, HVAC systems, and other modular equipment. In addition to refrigeration and HVAC responsibilities, you will be cross-trained to handle "hot side" kitchen equipment, expanding your expertise and value to the team.
This position offers a competitive salary along with valuable perks including sign-on bonuses of $500 and $1,000 paid after meeting the required employment period. Cook Out provides a comprehensive benefits package featuring medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, and a 401k retirement plan with up to 4% matching after one year of service. Paid vacation and holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas promote a healthy work-life balance. Additional earning potential is available through overtime pay, on-call bonuses, and weekend bonuses. Employees benefit from company provisions such as daily meals and a work van to assist in performing duties efficiently, especially when on call during weekends.
As a proactive and responsible Maintenance Technician, you will regularly inspect the restaurant grounds, buildings, and systems to prevent issues while making repairs as needed. You will utilize a company tablet for modern, tech-forward tracking of maintenance requests ensuring timely response and completion documentation. Working in close collaboration with Service Area Managers, office staff, and store leadership, you will contribute to maintaining the high standards that define the Cook Out brand. This role requires technical skill, reliability, and a commitment to safety and cleanliness, all essential for keeping the engines of Cook Out Restaurants running smoothly with minimal disruption to operations and customer satisfaction. If you have a minimum of two years of relevant experience in refrigeration and HVAC systems and are ready to join an elite and fast-paced team, Cook Out offers an inspiring career path with ample room for growth and development.
