Job Description

Cook Out Restaurants is a prominent fast-food restaurant chain known for its expansive menu and commitment to delivering quality food in a fast-paced environment. Established with a strong reputation throughout the Southeast United States, Cook Out focuses on offering an unparalleled dining experience while maintaining operational excellence in all its locations. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative culture that supports employee growth, stability, and well-being. Employees at Cook Out benefit from an inclusive environment, competitive compensation packages, and numerous opportunities for career advancement. Cook Out Restaurants has invested heavily in cutting-edge technology and maintenance to ensure their operations run smoothly and consistently meet the high standards customers expect.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance department. This is an essential role within our team as you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment critical to our fast-food operations. Your technical expertise will ensure that refrigeration systems, HVAC units, and kitchen machinery remain in optimal working condition, preventing service disruptions and enhancing workplace safety. This role offers competitive pay along with sign-on bonuses, creating an attractive opportunity for skilled technicians looking to grow their careers with a stable and respected organization.

As a Restaurant Maintenance Technician at Cook Out, you will manage a wide range of equipment including shake machines, ice machines, walk-in coolers and freezers, modular refrigeration systems, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units. In addition, you will receive cross-training on the “hot side” kitchen equipment such as grills and fryers, widening your skill set and contributing to comprehensive maintenance coverage. The role demands a proactive approach where you will identify potential issues and conduct timely repairs to prevent downtime.

Operating in a dynamic environment means collaboration is key. You will interact routinely with Service Area Managers (SAMs), office personnel, and store leadership teams to ensure seamless communication and prompt resolution of maintenance issues. You will use company-provided tablets to track work orders, document repairs, and ensure all maintenance activities are recorded meticulously to enhance accountability and efficiency. Your efforts will directly contribute to maintaining clean, safe, and highly functional store environments.

Cook Out not only offers competitive wages but also rewarding benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additional perks include company-paid life insurance, 401k matching up to 4 percent after one year, paid vacation, paid holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, overtime pay, on-call bonuses, weekend bonuses, daily meals included, and a company work van to ease your commute and job duties. This is a full-time position with a requirement to work weekdays and every other weekend, with flexibility for on-call duties as needed. A valid driver’s license along with reliable transportation is essential, as is the physical ability to handle materials up to 50 pounds.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated maintenance technician eager to join a reputable company that values technical skill, reliability, and teamwork. If you are ready to take on a challenging role in a fast-growing restaurant chain, apply today and become part of the Cook Out family, where your expertise helps keep our restaurants running smoothly and our customers satisfied.
