Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of commercial kitchen experience
  • Wok cooking experience preferred
  • Positive interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and deliver consistent, high-quality results
  • Must speak and read English well enough to understand instructions and ask questions
  • Florida Food Manager Certification required before or within 90 days of employment
  • Must be able to speak, see, and hear
  • Requires close and distance vision
  • Ability to walk and stand frequently and for long periods
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Must demonstrate manual dexterity and gross motor skills
  • Capability to reach hands and arms in any direction, kneel, and stoop repeatedly
  • Comfortable working in varied indoor or outdoor conditions
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts, high-temperature surfaces, and toxic/caustic cleaning agents

Job Qualifications

  • Wok cooking experience preferred

  • Good command of English to understand instructions and communicate

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate and promote core values including safety, integrity, guest focus, and teamwork
  • Comply with all food storage, handling, and rotation regulations and standards
  • Follow all safety protocols to prevent hazardous conditions and cross-contamination
  • Prepare food during off-peak periods
  • Cook meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items per recipes and food safety regulations, ensuring quality and portion consistency
  • Coordinate the completion of items at the right time
  • Memorize and adhere to proper plate presentation standards
  • Initiate replenishment of ingredients and supplies based on inventory management policy
  • Receive, inspect, and stock deliveries of food and supplies
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on kitchen equipment
  • Follow kitchen closure checklists at shift end
  • Support team members irrespective of rank
  • Attend employee meetings and offer improvement suggestions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
