The Line Cook - Hot Side role at Urban Plates is a vital position responsible for preparing, producing, and serving high-quality, visually appealing dishes in the Hot Side section of the kitchen, focusing on Bowls, Carve/Grill, Soup, and Braise stations. This position requires strict adherence to Urban Plates’ culinary standards and recipes to ensure consistency and excellence with every plate served. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong work ethic and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes on the Hot Side including Bowls, Carve/Grill, Soup, Braise stations
  • Follow Urban Plates recipes and procedures exactly to ensure product consistency
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food production
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Participate in cross-training to support other kitchen areas
