The Restaurant Line Cook position focuses on the Hot Side of the kitchen, primarily handling the Bowls, Carve/Grill, Soup, and Braise stations. A Line Cook at Urban Plates is responsible for preparing and producing visually appealing, high-quality food that adheres to standardized recipes and procedures. This role is essential to delivering the consistent, wholesome meals that are a hallmark of the Urban Plates experience. This position offers a competitive pay range from $16.90 to $21.74 per hour, inclusive of tips, and a flexible full-time or part-time schedule designed to support work-life balance. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members

  • Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare visually appealing, high-quality foods on the Hot Side of the kitchen
  • Follow Urban Plates recipes and procedures for Bowls, Carve/Grill, Soup, Braise stations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
  • Collaborate with team members and management to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Participate in paid position training and cross-training
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
