7-Eleven is a globally recognized leader in convenience retailing, with over 86,000 locations worldwide, surpassing all other retailers in the number of stores. Founded over 90 years ago, 7-Eleven has evolved to become an iconic family of brands that revolutionizes convenience, restaurants, and fuel through continuous innovation. The company’s commitment to being the customer’s first choice drives its operations and culture. 7-Eleven empowers its employees to "activate awesome," meaning they are encouraged to make meaningful impacts in their stores and communities every day. This creates a dynamic, inclusive environment where every team member has the opportunity to grow and lead while contributing to the future of convenience retail.
7-Eleven is currently hiring for the role of Restaurant Manager Trainee in the McAllen area. This role is perfect for passionate food service professionals who thrive in fast-paced retail environments and who are eager to take their career to the next level. The Restaurant Manager Trainee will play a critical role in leading daily fresh food service operations while ensuring adherence to health standards, company policies, and safety regulations to provide an exceptional customer experience. This position offers hands-on leadership opportunities in inventory management, vendor relationships, and financial analysis, focusing on driving sales growth and operational excellence.
In this role, candidates will have the chance to build and develop top-performing teams through strategic recruiting and coaching, establishing a positive culture where employees feel recognized and empowered. The trainee will oversee food preparation, quality standards, and equipment maintenance to ensure consistent excellence in customer service. Responsibilities also include creating and managing work schedules, providing on-the-spot operational support, and responding to any safety incidents or challenges that arise. This is a developmental role that prepares individuals for future managerial responsibilities within 7-Eleven's in-store quick serve restaurant operations.
7-Eleven values individuals with strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a business mindset capable of reading P&L statements and restaurant reports to identify opportunities for improvement. Successful candidates will have experience in food service leadership, possess or be willing to obtain safe food handling certification, and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office products and point-of-sale systems. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Joining 7-Eleven as a Restaurant Manager Trainee means becoming part of a company that values innovation, operational excellence, and community impact. The company invests in professional development and offers a supportive environment designed to help employees grow their leadership skills. Team members work alongside passionate colleagues dedicated to quality food service and memorable customer experiences. The role offers the unique chance to shape restaurant culture and directly influence daily operations, making a visible impact on both team performance and customer satisfaction.
This position reflects 7-Eleven’s dedication to workplace diversity as an Equal Opportunity Employer. Compensation is competitive and reflective of market standards, with benefits and bonuses offered at the company’s discretion. The company’s transparent approach ensures that employees know that compensation ranges are based on good faith estimates and are subject to change. For individuals driven by passion and purpose, this opportunity offers the perfect platform to lead, innovate, and build a rewarding career in one of the world’s largest convenience retail organizations.
