Job Description
7-Eleven is a globally recognized leader in convenience retail, boasting over 86,000 store locations worldwide, making it the largest retailer on the planet. Known for revolutionizing the convenience industry, 7-Eleven continually innovates in convenience stores, fuel services, and quick-service restaurant offerings to be the customers’ first and preferred choice. As a company dedicated to fostering a strong sense of community and customer satisfaction, 7-Eleven empowers its employees to "activate awesome" by making meaningful impacts in their stores and local communities every day.
The company embraces a culture of growth, leadership, and continuous improvement, offering employees opportunities to develop their careers and make significant contributions to the future of convenience retail. At 7-Eleven, many of the company's top managers and leaders began as cashiers or part-time staff, showing a clear path of advancement fueled by dedication, training, and learning the business thoroughly. With its strong "promote from within" philosophy, 7-Eleven is committed to supporting employees every step of the way, providing a robust training environment to help them confidently deliver excellent customer service each day.
The role of Restaurant Manager at 7-Eleven is a prime opportunity for individuals who enjoy team leadership within a restaurant setting and have prior supervisory experience. This position primarily involves overseeing daily restaurant operations, mentoring team members, maintaining high service standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and driving overall store success with business acumen and operational expertise. The Restaurant Manager leads by example and plays a pivotal role in maintaining a positive work environment and high employee retention through recruitment, leadership development, and empowerment.
In this role, managers have the responsibility to oversee merchandising and marketing programs to maximize store profitability, utilize financial reports such as Profit and Loss (P&L) statements to implement impactful changes, and ensure that the store environment complies with company policies and Health Department standards. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to succeed, alongside proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.
7-Eleven values physical stamina in this position, requiring ability to multi-task, and perform tasks that may include standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. While a High School diploma or GED is preferred, candidates with at least one year of restaurant management experience are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet this educational criterion.
Overall, the Restaurant Manager role at 7-Eleven is much more than a management job; it is an opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic and supportive environment, make a difference in the customer experience, and influence the future direction of one of the world’s most iconic convenience brands.
