Job Description

7-Eleven is a globally recognized leader in convenience retailing with an extensive network of over 86,000 stores worldwide. Established as a family of iconic brands, 7-Eleven has revolutionized the convenience store, fuel, and restaurant industries through continuous innovation and commitment to customer satisfaction. The company prides itself on being the customer’s first choice by integrating cutting-edge technology, exceptional service, and a culture of empowerment among its employees. With a presence in numerous countries, 7-Eleven ensures an inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes growth from within. 7-Eleven’s brand Stripes, specifically located at 4508 N Big Spring Street in Midland, Texas, is part of this dynamic retail landscape, offering a unique blend of convenience and quality products to its customers.

The Restaurant Leader (Manager) Trainee role at 7-Eleven is designed for individuals who are passionate about leadership and eager to grow within the restaurant management sector. This position offers a comprehensive training program that helps develop the skills required to manage a fast-paced restaurant environment successfully. Ideal candidates will have prior supervisory experience and a keen interest in advancing their career in restaurant management. 7-Eleven emphasizes promoting from within, and many successful managers started from entry-level positions such as cashiers or part-time roles. Trainees will be equipped with the knowledge to lead teams, deliver superior customer service, handle operational challenges, and ensure compliance with company and health standards.

The role requires candidates to oversee team members, foster a positive work environment, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. Training focuses on operational excellence, leadership development, inventory control, merchandising, marketing implementation, and financial accountability including the use of profit and loss (P&L) statements. Communication skills, both oral and written, are crucial as the Restaurant Leader will interact with store employees, customers, and corporate leadership. The position also demands good computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel, to manage reports and monitor store performance.

7-Eleven’s strong commitment to employee success is demonstrated through its array of benefits including 401K and RRSP plans, paid paid time off, insurance coverage, bonuses, tuition reimbursement, and adoption assistance, creating an attractive work environment that supports personal and professional growth. This is a full-time position based in Midland, Texas, offering a competitive compensation range. The Restaurant Leader (Manager) Trainee position not only serves as a gateway to a successful managerial career but also invites motivated individuals to be part of a company dedicated to innovation, leadership, and community impact.
