Job Description

Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is an innovative and rapidly expanding restaurant chain that specializes in serving craveable chicken finger meals, famously known as its "One Love." Committed to maintaining a dynamic, team-oriented culture centered around the philosophy of Work Hard. Have Fun., Raising Cane's has positioned itself as the fastest-growing chicken concept in the United States and is on a trajectory to become one of the top 10 restaurant brands nationwide. With a focus on great crew members and a cool culture, Raising Cane's offers a vibrant work environment where every employee plays a crucial role in the company's rapid growth and lasting success. The company's dedication to employee welfare is reflected in the comprehensive benefits and incentives it provides to full-time Restaurant Managers, such as medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy benefits, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) with employer match, tuition reimbursement, and unique perks like gym memberships and pet insurance. The employment opportunity includes an attractive salary range starting from $64,000 to $77,500 annually, plus monthly training incentives of $1,500. Pay is dependent on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications, with additional monthly incentives based on restaurant profitability. The company’s policy includes weekly pay cycles, except in specific states like California where bi-weekly payments may apply. Raising Cane's culture encourages casual work attire, offers paid time off, sick time, and observes eight paid holidays annually, fostering a balanced and supportive work atmosphere.

The role of the Restaurant Leader at Raising Cane's is pivotal to the strategic and operational success of the restaurant. This position is responsible for directing the restaurant's overall performance by upholding operational standards, driving sales, and fostering profit growth through effective people development. The Restaurant Leader serves as a role model by teaching, modeling, and upholding Raising Cane's culture standards across all crewmembers, customers, and partners. This hands-on leadership position demands the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, which includes physical tasks such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending, as well as interacting with customers in varying weather conditions and environments ranging from inside the restaurant to the outside surroundings. Safety consciousness is essential, as the job involves handling food products, allergens, industrial equipment, and commercial cleaning supplies, all requiring the use of personal protective equipment.

Key responsibilities include ensuring the financial success of the restaurant through accurate forecasting and budgeting, maintaining compliance with company standards, policies, and legal regulations, and managing personnel by hiring, terminating, and conducting performance management for management-level crewmembers. The Restaurant Leader creates training schedules, manages opening and closing of the restaurant, handles cash management, and supervises profit and loss statements to develop and implement strategies for financial and operational improvement. Additional duties involve enforcing company policies, utilizing required logging and documentation tools, providing exemplary customer service, deploying staff effectively during shifts, and maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of the restaurant facility. Successful candidates are expected to meet or exceed performance expectations in crewmember and operational metrics, maintain training restaurant status, and embody Raising Cane's values to ensure a consistently positive customer experience. This comprehensive role not only demands strong leadership and analytical skills but also requires flexibility, energy, and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays. Candidates who possess prior experience in restaurant or retail management—and preferably experience in new restaurant openings and marketing—will thrive in this role. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with some college preferred, along with a valid driver’s license. Overall, the Restaurant Leader at Raising Cane's is an essential position for driving the company’s continued success and maintaining its distinctive workplace culture.
