This job opportunity is offered by an independent franchisee who owns a McDonald’s restaurant. Unlike McDonald’s corporate entities, this franchisee operates as a separate company and employer. They have acquired a license to use McDonald’s logos, food products, and trademarks to run the restaurant independently. It is important to note that while the restaurant carries the McDonald’s brand appearance and menu, all employment-related matters including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling are managed solely by this franchisee and not by McDonald’s USA. This means that the franchisee is the only employer of record, responsible for all operational and employment decisions. Consequently, the McDonald’s corporate organization has no involvement in employment matters, does not receive employment applications, and does not conduct interviews or hiring decisions for this position.
