The Restaurant Lead at Bass Pro Shops plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the entire restaurant within the store. This full-time position requires a dynamic individual who can oversee the restaurant’s appearance, maintain high standards of presentation, and ensure an excellent customer experience. The Restaurant Lead provides professional leadership and direction to all employees, fostering a team environment that values collaboration, efficiency, and positivity. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with operational standards, company policies, and all relevant federal, state, and local laws and ordinances. The lead must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the entire food and beverage menu, including preparation methods, and enforce strict safety and sanitation practices throughout the restaurant.
The position demands strong decision-making abilities and good judgment to handle tasks and challenges independently while adhering to established procedures and innovative solutions. The Restaurant Lead is accountable for completing all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to compliance and procedure, alongside managing systems in place to facilitate smooth operations. The role involves regular physical activity such as walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds, reflecting the hands-on nature of restaurant management.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of restaurant management experience
- Knowledge of state and local liquor laws
- Ability to walk, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong decision-making ability
- Ability to perform tasks under general supervision
- Willingness to follow established procedures
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of restaurant management experience involving serving and managing beer, wine, and liquor
- Awareness of state and local liquor laws
- Experience in front of house restaurant operations preferred
- Demonstrated skills in team building and collaboration
- Proficient time management skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team player
Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal, state, and local laws and ordinances
- Demonstrate knowledge of the entire food and beverage menu and its preparation
- Enforce safety and sanitary practices and maintenance for the entire restaurant
- Complete all relevant SOPs including compliance and procedural items
- Complete all relevant systems in place
- Exercise good judgment and make well-informed decisions
- Perform all other duties as assigned
