The hotel has maintained its historic grandeur while embracing contemporary hospitality innovations, offering team members an inspiring environment for professional growth and career advancement.
Joining the Historic Davenport Hotel means becoming part of a dedicated team that values commitment, professionalism, and passion for hospitality. The hotel is currently offering a fantastic opportunity for someone to join as a Prep Cook. This role is ideal for culinary professionals who have a passion for food preparation and who want to develop their skills in a high-volume, prestigious setting. The Prep Cook will support the culinary team by preparing fresh ingredients, ensuring quality standards, and contributing to the creation of exceptional dishes that delight guests. The position offers a wage of $17.13 per hour plus tips, reflecting the hotel's commitment to fair compensation. Working here means being part of a passionate team that fosters a collaborative atmosphere, encourages continuous learning, and supports career growth within the historic hotel and the larger Davidson Hospitality Group umbrella.
Davidson Hospitality Group, the parent company overseeing the Davenport Hotel, is a nationally recognized, award-winning full-service hospitality management company. Davidson is known for its entrepreneurial management style and owner’s mentality, which provides personalized service typical of smaller companies while leveraging the experience and scale of a larger organization. The group manages a portfolio of hotels, restaurants, resorts, and entertainment venues across the United States, including partnerships with major hotel brands like Hilton, Hyatt, Kimpton, Marriott, and Margaritaville. The company places great importance on enriching the lives of its team members by offering comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.
In this role, the Prep Cook will be instrumental in delivering consistently high culinary standards in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in dynamic kitchens, have a strong work ethic, and desire to grow within a historic and prestigious hospitality setting. The hotel values diversity and inclusion, offering equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants regardless of minority status, gender identity, sexual orientation, veteran status, or disability. The workplace maintains a drug-free policy and conducts pre-employment drug testing and background checks, ensuring a safe and professional work environment.
The role demands flexibility with work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, fostering a team that can meet guest needs at all times. Team members benefit from ongoing training and development programs, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits. Candidates who join the Davenport Hotel will enjoy the pride of working in a historic and beautiful landmark, contributing to memorable guest experiences while advancing their culinary careers within a supportive and enriching organizational culture.
