Job Description

Red Robin is a high-volume, full-service restaurant known for its laid-back atmosphere and uniquely quirky vibe. The establishment is widely celebrated for its innovative approach to classic American dining, crafting burgers that go beyond the ordinary with a commitment to quality and creativity. Founded on principles of hospitality, fun, and generosity, Red Robin has built a reputation for being more than just a burger joint — it’s a place where guests come to enjoy an experience that is both engaging and memorable. With an inclusive environment that values diversity and a sense of belonging, Red Robin creates a welcoming space for guests and team members alike. This restaurant offers numerous opportunities for professional growth within its dynamic and energetic team, making it an excellent place for individuals passionate about hospitality and exceptional food service.

The Restaurant Kitchen Manager plays a vital role in the smooth and efficient operations of the kitchen, ensuring that every dish meets the company’s high standards. This position demands a leader who can not only manage day-to-day kitchen activities but who also embodies the brand as an ambassador, upholding its values and commitment to excellence. The Kitchen Manager oversees essential functions such as inventory management, ordering supplies, and key profit and loss lines, all of which are crucial contributors to the restaurant's overall success. This role requires a dedication to scratch cooking, emphasizing fresh, artisanal American food and gourmet burgers that distinguish Red Robin's culinary offerings.

The manager is responsible for fostering a positive culture of continuous improvement and a 'better for being here' mentality. A key part of the role is to inspire, motivate, and develop a passionate team that is focused on delivering exceptional service, hospitality, and execution at every level. Alongside operational duties, the Kitchen Manager actively participates in a rewarding compensation structure that includes an uncapped bonus program driven by the financial success of the restaurant, referral bonuses for recommending new members, and perks such as free shift meals and significant discounts on food for employees’ families.

Additional benefits contributing to the role’s appeal include closures on important holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, comprehensive insurance options subject to eligibility, a 401k retirement plan with company matching, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement within the company. This position requires a candidate who is not only equipped with strong leadership skills and the ability to build a cohesive team but who is also committed to maintaining a high standard of food safety and compliance with local health codes. Technological competence in relevant software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, as well as scheduling and point-of-sale systems like Workday, Aloha, and Hot Schedules is also beneficial. This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation range of $55,000 to $68,800, reflecting the importance of the Kitchen Manager’s role in driving the restaurant’s ongoing success and brand impact.
