The Greenleigh is part of the esteemed Makeready collection, which is well-known for its commitment to exceptional hospitality and team member wellbeing. This upcoming restaurant emphasizes memorable guest experiences from the very first interaction, setting the standard high for service and ambiance. We are currently seeking Hosts and Hostesses who are passionate about service and eager to contribute to creating a welcoming environment for every guest who walks through our doors. This role is pivotal as the first point of contact for guests, shaping their initial impressions and setting the tone for their entire dining experience. Hosts and Hostesses will collaborate closely with restaurant leadership, servers, and support staff to ensure smooth seating flow, manage reservations and waitlists, and provide attentive service that highlights the establishment's dedication to excellence.
Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, managing seating arrangements efficiently, and handling reservation systems while maintaining communication across all restaurant operations. Candidates should be prepared to maintain a clean and inviting waiting area, assist with guest inquiries by phone, and support restaurant functions by performing light side work and adhering to company policies and health regulations. Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events is required to meet the demands of our diverse clientele.

Job Requirements
- Previous host, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout scheduled shifts
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and polished appearance and demeanor
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain calm, composed, and solution-oriented during busy service periods
- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Experience with reservation management systems is preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly, professional first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant reservation system while maintaining accurate seating assignments
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus in a courteous and welcoming manner
- Coordinate table seating to maximize efficiency while maintaining balanced server sections and an exceptional guest experience
- Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and support staff regarding table availability, special requests, and guest needs
- Answer telephone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and assist with reservation requests in a professional manner
- Monitor the restaurant entrance, lobby, and waiting areas to ensure they remain clean, organized, and inviting
- Assist with guest departures by thanking guests and inviting them to return
- Support restaurant operations by assisting with light side work, menu maintenance, and other duties as assigned
- Follow all company policies, service standards, and health and safety regulations
