The role of the Host/Hostess at Cleveland Metroparks is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the park’s dining facilities. Safety is a high priority in this role, requiring the Host/Hostess to respond proactively to hazardous situations or potentially unsafe conditions to protect coworkers, guests, and themselves.
Candidates for this position must be personable, outgoing, and demonstrate initiative. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required. Effective communication skills are essential, including the ability to speak and write clearly, concisely, and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. The Host/Hostess must be capable of working cooperatively with others, performing with considerable independence, and managing duties with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
