The Host/Hostess plays a crucial role in managing the flow of guests in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, ensuring that every customer is greeted promptly, feels welcomed, and is efficiently seated. The successful candidate will be adept at handling a lively dining area, managing wait times, and communicating positively with guests and staff alike. As a Host/Hostess, your primary responsibility will be to create an inviting ambiance by greeting guests warmly, engaging them in friendly conversation, and facilitating smooth seating arrangements by introducing them to their servers. Managing the restaurant’s waiting list during peak hours requires excellent organizational skills to set accurate guest expectations and maintain a pleasant atmosphere. Beyond seating guests, you will be responsible for clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables swiftly and effectively to ensure readiness for incoming diners.
