We are currently looking for a friendly and professional Host or Hostess to join our dynamic team. This role is critical as it forms the very first and last impression guests have during their visit to The Grill Room. The ideal candidate will be someone who naturally embodies a warm and welcoming demeanor and can manage the flow of a busy restaurant with grace and efficiency. As the face of the restaurant, the Host or Hostess will greet guests promptly and graciously, making each visitor feel valued and comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Responsibilities include escorting guests to their tables and presenting the menus, maintaining reservation logs, and managing the waitlist with accuracy and courtesy. The role requires a solid understanding of the menu and cocktail offerings to answer any questions guests might have accurately, enhancing their dining experience.

Additionally, the Host or Hostess must be adept at handling high-volume situations and juggling multiple tasks simultaneously, such as answering phone lines, taking reservations, and possibly operating the point-of-sale (POS) system to assist with payments and order management. Flexibility in scheduling is a must, as the position involves working weekends, holidays, and potentially varied shifts to accommodate peak dining hours. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining a clean and orderly host station, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere of the restaurant.
