We are currently looking to expand our team by hiring a Restaurant Host or Hostess. In this energetic and pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, serving as the welcoming face of our dining environment. Your role is crucial in setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience, ensuring that guests feel welcomed, informed, and comfortable as soon as they arrive. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop and refine your customer service skills in a dynamic food service setting. You will manage reservations, seating arrangements, and coordinate closely with servers and kitchen staff to maintain a smooth flow of service. As a paid position with a competitive wage of $17.00 to $18.00 per hour, this role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys interacting with people, and values creating positive guest interactions daily. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a host or hostess role preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems especially Toast POS preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Availability to work in person during restaurant operating hours

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
  • Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and guest relations abilities
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS is advantageous
  • Experience in hospitality guest services serving or hotel environments is a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations and guest engagement techniques

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a friendly smile and positive attitude making them feel instantly welcome
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Toast POS
  • Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests
  • Assist guests with seating preferences special requests and provide menus promptly
  • Answer phone inquiries professionally providing information about the restaurant and reservation policies
  • Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of guest service
  • Uphold cleanliness standards at the host stand and surrounding areas ensuring a tidy environment that reflects our hospitality standards
