Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a host or hostess role preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Basic knowledge of POS systems especially Toast POS preferred
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Availability to work in person during restaurant operating hours
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and guest relations abilities
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS is advantageous
- Experience in hospitality guest services serving or hotel environments is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and guest engagement techniques
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly smile and positive attitude making them feel instantly welcome
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Toast POS
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist guests with seating preferences special requests and provide menus promptly
- Answer phone inquiries professionally providing information about the restaurant and reservation policies
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of guest service
- Uphold cleanliness standards at the host stand and surrounding areas ensuring a tidy environment that reflects our hospitality standards
