As a Host at Von Elrod's, you will be the first point of contact for guests, playing a critical role in shaping their initial impression and overall dining experience. This position requires managing the flow of service effectively by overseeing reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements. The Host must ensure that guests feel welcomed and attended to promptly in a fast-paced and sometimes high-volume environment. This role involves multitasking and coordinating with management and service staff to maintain smooth operations throughout the shift.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hosting experience in a high-volume restaurant setting and be comfortable using Toast Tables and other iPad-based systems to manage reservations and seating. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to handle busy service periods and large parties efficiently. Additionally, the Host should maintain a friendly and professional demeanor even during peak hours or stressful situations. This role also includes responsibilities such as selling and ringing in restaurant merchandise using the Toast POS system.

The position offers a starting pay range of $18 to $20 per hour and is available on both a full-time and part-time basis. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Working in person at the restaurant allows for direct engagement with guests and team members, fostering a collaborative workplace culture.
