The role of Host at Eataly’s restaurants is pivotal, serving as the first and last point of contact for guests. This position requires a blend of hospitality skills, organizational ability, and a warm personality to ensure a smooth and welcoming dining experience. Hosts are responsible for greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, balancing guest flow, and maintaining an accurate waitlist and seating chart using a computerized system. The Host’s proactive role is essential in keeping service flowing efficiently, contributing to both guest satisfaction and overall restaurant operations. The Host reports directly to the General Manager of Restaurants and Restaurant Floor Managers, acting as a critical communication link within the team. With an hourly compensation rate of $16.60 plus tips, this onsite position often requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
