Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- ability to read and write English
- previous experience as a restaurant greeter preferred
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to handle guest complaints in a professional manner
- ability to work a part-time AM shift approximately four days per week
- reliable and punctual
- ability to perform physical tasks such as moving throughout a crowded room
- flexibility to perform opening and closing duties
- willingness to assist with side work
- team-oriented attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- restaurant greeter experience preferred
- knowledge of restaurant operations including appropriate staffing levels and guest relations
- ability to read and comprehend English language materials
- ability to speak English sufficient for small employee meetings
- ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
- ability to move through crowded areas to seat guests
- effective customer service skills including complaint handling with empathy and proactive solutions
Job Duties
- Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs
- take reservations and monitor the reservation system
- seat guests and manage the seating chart
- monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
- perform opening and closing duties as needed
- assist others with side work including cleaning, stocking, polishing, folding silverware
- ensure knowledge of menu
- respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
