The current opening is for a Restaurant Host / Hostess on a part-time, seasonal basis with an hourly pay rate ranging from $18 to $24, which includes a base wage of $17.13 per hour plus average hourly tips. This role is essential as it represents the first point of contact for guests entering the resort’s restaurant, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. As a Restaurant Host / Hostess, the employee is responsible for warmly greeting guests upon arrival, managing the seating flow efficiently, and accommodating guests’ preferences and special seating requests. The host acts as a key liaison between guests and the service staff, ensuring smooth communication and a positive atmosphere throughout the dining area. Additional duties include answering reservation phone calls, maintaining knowledge of floor charts and menu details, assisting with table clearing and resetting when necessary, and delivering courteous interactions that encourage guest return visits. The position requires excellent posture, appearance consistent with Alderbrook Resort & Spa standards, and an ability to engage in friendly, professional conversation.
