This position requires a warm, inviting personality accompanied by professional and efficient service skills. As the initial point of contact, the Host/Hostess ensures that each guest feels welcome and valued, setting the tone for their entire dining experience. Beyond greeting guests, this role involves managing table assignments, handling wait lists, and coordinating seating in a way that maximizes flow and guest satisfaction. Effective multitasking and organizational skills are essential since the Host/Hostess must juggle various responsibilities while remaining composed during peak hours.
This position also offers valuable opportunities to develop strong interpersonal and communication abilities, as Hosts/Hostesses regularly engage with both guests and team members. Teamwork is a core value at The Old Spaghetti Factory, and the Host/Hostess contributes by assisting with table clearing and maintaining cleanliness in the front-of-house areas. Flexibility is necessary, as shifts often require working evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet customer demand. Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is appreciated but not mandatory, making this an excellent entry-level role for candidates looking to start or grow their career in the restaurant industry.

The restaurant supports its team members through paid training, career advancement paths, and a variety of benefits that promote health, well-being, and financial security. These include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, employee assistance programs, and exclusive discounts. The Old Spaghetti Factory is committed to inclusivity and equal opportunity, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds including those with prior criminal histories, in accordance with applicable local laws.
