The role of Restaurant Host at Pebble Beach Company is an essential frontline position aimed at delivering impeccable guest service within one of its distinguished dining establishments. As a Restaurant Host, you will be responsible for providing prompt and courteous service by greeting every guest warmly, managing dining room operations efficiently, and ensuring an exceptional overall dining experience. The position demands professionalism and a friendly demeanor to interact effectively with guests, while collaboratively supporting the dining room team to maintain guest satisfaction and streamline service flow. Key responsibilities include greeting and escorting guests to their tables, managing reservations and waiting lists, confirming large party bookings, assisting with special events such as buyouts, and communicating guest needs to the appropriate staff members. This dynamic role also involves maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, answering inquiries about menus and company services, and upholding safety, health, and company policies.
This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and possesses excellent communication skills, attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and a strong ability to anticipate guest needs. Teamwork with fellow floor and kitchen staff is essential to uphold the high standards of service that Pebble Beach Company is esteemed for. The position includes competing hourly pay ranging from $22.09 to $25.99, plus gratuity, along with union-provided benefits that include health and retirement plans. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in host or customer service role preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Oversee and assist in maintaining cleanliness of outlet
- Ensure coverage of the entrance greeting arriving guests and thanking those that are leaving
- Assist with special event or buyout set-ups such as moving tables running food or bussing
- Check reservations in book and assign table numbers
- Ensure availability for resort guests
- Call to confirm reservations and large parties
- Complete all assigned tasks given by your manager or supervisor
