Job Description

Perseid Restaurant, located inside the renowned Hotel Saint Augustine, is a distinguished neighborhood bistro known for its Gulf Coast-inspired take on the classic bistro dining experience. The restaurant offers thoughtfully crafted dishes throughout the day, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with an atmosphere that caters to both casual meals and special occasions. Perseid is led by the talented chef Aaron Bludorn and Director of Operations Cherif Mbodji in close collaboration with the Bunkhouse and Hyatt teams, which together bring an elevated yet approachable dining experience to the vibrant heart of Montrose. Recognized for excellence, Perseid was named one of Bon Appétit's 20 best new restaurants of 2025 and has the honor of being a Michelin-recommended establishment.

The opportunity at Perseid Restaurant is for a Part-Time Restaurant Host / Greeter position. This role is essential as the first point of contact, setting the tone for guests' overall dining experience. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the broader Food & Beverage operations team to ensure smooth and seamless front of house functioning. The Restaurant Host / Greeter will welcome guests warmly and professionally, manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments accurately, and communicate guest preferences and seating needs to the service and management teams effectively. The role demands strong interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and organized under pressure in a busy hospitality environment.

This dynamic position also involves maintaining an inviting and organized host stand and entry area as well as monitoring the dining room flow to uphold a positive guest experience. The host is expected to handle guest inquiries regarding the menu and restaurant with confidence and professionalism, assist with guest concerns by escalating issues when necessary, and support the front of house team as needed. Flexibility is important, as the role may require performing various functions not strictly related to hosting duties to meet fluctuating operational demands and exceed customer expectations. Perseid offers exciting benefits, including a 401K with company match, complimentary and discounted nights, friends and family room rates, free parking, generous paid time off, wellbeing initiatives like complimentary access to Headspace, and discounts at various retailers such as Apple, AT&T, and Verizon. This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality and guest experience, who enjoys being part of a high-performing team dedicated to creativity and exceptional service.
