Job Description

The Westgate Hotel is a distinguished luxury hotel renowned for providing world-class elegance and exceptional hospitality. Located in a prime area convenient to downtown, the hotel offers guests an experience that blends traditional excellence with modern comfort. Known for its commitment to delivering memorable experiences and genuine service, the Westgate Hotel maintains a strong culture of both employee and guest care, reflecting its values of community involvement and high standards. The establishment includes several dining options such as the Plaza Bar, Afternoon Tea, and the Westgate Room, all designed to enhance the guest experience through exquisite food and attentive service.

As part of its hospitality team, the Westgate Hotel is seeking a Bonne Vie Host who will play a key role in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests. This hourly position starting at $17.75 per hour plus tips offers both full-time and part-time schedules with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. The Bonne Vie Host will be responsible for greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner, managing seating arrangements, estimating wait times, and monitoring the wait list as needed. The host ensures that guests are comfortable while waiting for their tables and handles various duties such as accepting reservations and processing to-go orders.

Reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Manager, the host will serve as the first point of contact for guests visiting the hotel’s dining outlets. This role emphasizes communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Additional duties include assisting in bussing and resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness and order in the dining areas and lobby, and coordinating guest needs with servers and bartenders. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat all guests visiting Plaza Bar, Afternoon Tea, and Westgate Room
  • Answer inquiries about dining options, hours, menus, and hotel information
  • Control seating pace and estimate wait times
  • Accept reservations and perform call-back confirmations
  • Process payment for to-go orders
  • Assist in bussing and resetting tables
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderly appearance of F&B outlets and hotel lobby
  • Communicate guest needs efficiently with servers and bartenders
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
