As a Restaurant Host at Neiman Marcus, you will be the first point of contact for restaurant customers, responsible for delivering a polished and inviting experience from the moment guests arrive. Your duties will include managing guest flow, coordinating seating with the wait staff, handling reservation requests through the OpenTable platform, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of menus and the host area. You will be expected to exhibit excellent communication skills, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the company’s hygiene and uniform standards.

Physical requirements include standing, bending, climbing stairs, and the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds. Job Duties
- Maintains presence at host stand or door to professionally and graciously greet and seat customers
- Monitors server performance to ensure smooth service during the customers’ dining experience
- Observes proper telephone etiquette
- Handles reservations through OpenTable platform including VIPs and any additional inquiries regarding hours of operation, specials, events, etc.
- Organizes reservations, maximizes seating during operating hours, and optimizes staffing and customer traffic
- Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment and maintains knowledge of the POS system
- Keeps flow of service to standards such as proper seating of customers to each wait station
- Participates in daily pre-shift meetings
- Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects such as tables, chairs, highchairs
- Maintains cleanliness and presentability of all menus and menu covers
- Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards including clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes
- Maintains clean and professionally styled hair and nails to avoid food contamination risks
- Adheres to posted work schedule and follows established procedures for schedule and shift changes
