Job Description
Providence Hospitality Partners, founded in 2002 and based in Denver, Colorado, is a dedicated hotel management company that focuses on operating hotels where every guest wants to stay, every associate wants to work, and every investor wants to own. This commitment drives the company to foster a strong corporate culture that values teamwork, a strong work ethic, exceptional service to others, and personal balance. Providence Hospitality Partners consistently encourages and supports their associates to achieve clearly defined objectives and takes a proactive stance in enhancing the wellbeing of the communities within which they operate. The company is known for its integrity and dedication in the hospitality industry, making it a reputable employer and an attractive partner to its clientele and investors alike.
The role of Restaurant Host at Providence Hospitality Partners is a vital position within their hospitality team. As the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant, the Restaurant Host plays a key role in maintaining an efficient and courteous restaurant operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, offering choices for seating, escorting guests to their tables, and presenting menus. They must be personable, attentive, and skilled in creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the guest experience. The Restaurant Host also coordinates communication between shifts and management by maintaining and making daily entries in the log book. Ensuring the dining room is properly set up and handling reservations and special functions are part of the daily responsibilities.
This role not only requires a friendly and outgoing personality but also the ability to handle customer complaints gracefully, prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Previous restaurant or customer service experience is preferred, although not mandatory, as training and support are provided. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, stooping, as well as lifting or carrying items up to 25 pounds. Providence Hospitality Partners values associates who demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and a commitment to safety and quality.
The company offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid basic life and AD&D insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off and state-required sick pay, paid holidays, hotel discounts by brand, and voluntary short-term and long-term disability coverage. The employment type for this role is likely full-time with hours determined based on business needs. Providence Hospitality Partners provides an encouraging and supportive workspace where associates are empowered to contribute positively to the business and community. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer service to grow with a reputable company in the industry.
