Job Description

Pei Wei Asian Express is a dynamic fast-casual restaurant specializing in fresh, flavorful Asian cuisine. We are currently seeking smart, responsible, driven, and talented Restaurant Managers who are passionate about service, quality, teamwork, and cleanliness to join our team. This full-time management position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $50,000 to $65,000 per year, with additional bonus opportunities based on performance. The role requires hands-on leadership and active involvement with team members to drive the company's vision, brand, and operational direction. You will be accountable for all functional areas within the restaurant, including managing the full Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) operations, sales performance, and recruiting efforts.

In this leadership role, you will set and uphold high standards, ensuring the highest level of food quality, service excellence, and cleanliness. Motivating, coaching, training, and supporting restaurant team members on the service model, menu execution, systems, and program implementation is a key part of the job. You will focus on problem solving and process improvements, leveraging available restaurant resources to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction. The work environment is centered within mall-based food courts, where fast-paced service and consistent quality are essential.

Successful candidates will have at least two years of previous general management experience within the restaurant, retail, or hospitality industries. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a Bachelor’s degree considered a plus. Experience working in fast-paced, hands-on environments is essential for handling multitasking demands. You must be ready to stand and walk for eight to twelve hours per shift, as well as perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, balancing, and transporting objects weighing up to 30 pounds repeatedly, while also working in varying temperature conditions in the kitchen area.

Job Requirements

  • 2 years of previous general manager experience in a restaurant retail or hospitality environment
  • High school diploma or ged required bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Experience working in a hands-on fast paced environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for eight to twelve hours per shift
  • Ability to reach bend balance and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly during shift
  • Ability to work around various levels of temperature including warm to very warm temperatures in kitchen
  • Cooking experience of at least 1 year

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or ged

Job Duties
