The Full Time Restaurant General Manager role at Russian River Brewing Company's Santa Rosa Pub is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pub's operations. This position requires a passionate individual with extensive expertise in the restaurant industry and strong management capabilities. The General Manager will lead the pub team by example, ensuring that the establishment's core values and service expectations are consistently met. This role includes comprehensive responsibilities such as hiring, training, and supervising staff, managing inventory and budgets, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, overseeing daily operations, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Key to this role is the ability to provide day-to-day operational oversight while motivating and guiding a diverse team including the Chef and pub staff. The General Manager will champion customer service excellence and operational compliance, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities also encompass maintaining quality control over food and beverage offerings, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient scheduling and payroll management. This position demands a deep understanding of alcohol beverage laws, strong budgeting and math skills, and proficiency with restaurant technology such as point-of-sale systems and scheduling software. Job Requirements

Minimum of three years’ people management experience required
minimum five years’ related experience in a restaurant environment or equivalent
must be at least 21 years old
excellent verbal and written communication skills
must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
prior experience with restaurant point-of-sale systems (Toast preferred)
intermediate skills with Word, Excel, and staff scheduling software (Hot Schedules or equivalent)

Job Duties

Leads by example, consistently demonstrating the values and behaviors expected of the team and ensures alignment between words and actions
provides day-to-day guidance, leadership, and oversight of direct reports
responsible for the hiring and training of all pub staff
ensures accountability for all actions, service quality, and overall operations at the pub
supervises, motivates, directs, counsels, and leads team members effectively
be present and accessible to customers, staff, and vendors at all times
conducts daily shift meetings
attends and hosts regular pub supervisor meetings and other company management meetings
maintains a safe, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere by controlling lighting, temperature, and music levels appropriately
ensures all administrative duties and responsibilities are completed timely
handles company funds and employee tips ethically and responsibly
monitors all pub expenses while working within the budget
manages inventory of supplies, including placing beer and merchandise orders
monitors and controls food and beverage costs using company software
ensures opening and closing procedures are properly executed
manages pub operations to maximize profitability, minimize legal liability, and comply with regulations
posts shift schedules three weeks in advance
reviews, approves, and submits time cards bi-weekly
ensures safe and sanitary food preparation while maintaining consistency in presentation and quality
ensures compliance with all health and safety guidelines
manages staff rest and meal periods per policies and labor laws
performs or delegates pub-related maintenance and cleaning
responsible for overall condition of pub, gift shop, public areas, and outside grounds
ensures professional conduct of all staff
enforces all company policies
performs all other duties as assigned
