The role of General Manager at Butler Hospitality is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire Food and Beverage Departments within designated partner hotels. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in food and beverage operations and proven leadership skills. As a General Manager, you will lead, inspire, and manage staff to deliver first-class hospitality that aligns with Butler’s high standards of elegance and professionalism. Your responsibilities will include hiring, training, and motivating team members to uphold consistent service excellence and ensuring that the facility and equipment are well-maintained and fully operational.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 7-10 years of food and beverage experience
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Willingness to work long hours and varied shifts

Job Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of food and beverage experience preferred
  • 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, busy environment with minimal supervision
  • Well-groomed appearance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Hire, train, motivate, and provide ongoing communication to staff to deliver first-class service with unmatched elegance and professionalism while promoting a culture of accountability
  • Manage facility and equipment in the responsible areas to ensure they are in complete working order
  • Ensure high quality of food preparation and service
  • Create a positive work environment that properly represents the Butler brand
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality service standards are maintained through effective training and feedback mechanisms
  • Evaluate employee performance and build reward and recognition systems
  • Produce regular and special reports
  • maintain required records and files
  • Propose staff changes in assigned areas
  • Manage vacation requests and staff absences
  • Maintain close work relationships with other departments and their leaders to promote feedback, cross training and efficient operations
  • Be able to work any shift, any day and long hours when necessary
