Job Description

About: This position is offered by a well-established restaurant company dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience through high standards of customer service and operational excellence. The company operates multiple restaurant locations with a focus on delivering quality food, maintaining facility standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction consistently. As part of their commitment to quality and employee development, the company emphasizes a strong culture of teamwork, leadership, and continuous improvement in all its operations.

The role of the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) is critical within this organization, as it confers overall leadership and direct supervision of an individual restaurant's operations. The RGM is responsible for ensuring that the restaurant meets or exceeds its annual operating plan by managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including financial performance, customer service, employee development, and adherence to company standards. This is a full-time supervisory position involving both strategic oversight and hands-on management.

As the RGM, you will lead a team comprising Associate General Managers, Shift Managers, and hourly crew, shaping the overall customer experience and operational efficiency. The position demands a dynamic leader who can inspire, motivate, and develop the team while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. Key responsibilities include driving excellence in customer service by role-modeling positive interactions and problem-solving; supervising food handling and operational procedures to meet health and safety requirements; exercising financial controls such as analyzing sales, labor, and inventory to optimize margins; and managing staffing through hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.

The RGM is also a hands-on leader who participates in daily operational activities from training employees to dealing with customer needs directly. Essential to the success in this role is a deep knowledge of restaurant operations combined with robust business acumen to identify opportunities for financial improvement and customer satisfaction. The position offers opportunities for professional growth by developing shift managers and assistant general managers for higher responsibilities. Additionally, the restaurant provides a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off accrual, enrollment in short-term and long-term disability, medical, dental, life insurance, a 401k plan, and a possible annual bonus ranging from $14,560 to $36,400 based on performance.

This role is ideal for candidates with supervisory experience in food service or retail environments who are passionate about customer service, operational excellence, and employee development. It requires a balanced skill set of leadership, business savvy, and a dedication to maintaining high standards in both product and service. Through effective leadership and operational control, the RGM will ensure the continued growth and success of the restaurant location while fostering a positive, customer-focused workplace culture.
