Job Description

This opportunity is with a franchisee of Taco Bell, a globally recognized fast-food restaurant brand known for its innovative and flavorful Mexican-inspired menu items. Unlike corporate positions, this role involves working directly for an independent franchisee who owns and operates the restaurant at 244 Reservation Rd., Marina, CA. As franchisees are independent business owners, wage and benefit programs may vary, offering potential for growth within a customized work environment. Taco Bell franchises are an integral part of the community, providing quick-service dining with a focus on customer satisfaction and team development.

The General Manager position is a vital leadership role where you become the cornerstone of the restaurant’s operation and culture. This position requires an individual with exemplary leadership skills who can build and maintain a motivated, efficient team committed to delivering outstanding guest experiences. The General Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant from employee hiring, coaching, and development to scheduling and daily financial operations. Success in this role depends on combining excellent people management abilities with strong operational acumen to ensure that food quality, customer service, and profitability goals are met consistently.

In this role, the General Manager will spearhead the hiring process, ensuring that all new employees receive thorough orientations and follow tailored training plans that align with brand standards. You will be tasked with scheduling the right team members at the right times to optimize workflow and guest satisfaction. Addressing team performance issues promptly and effectively is also a critical function, promoting a positive and productive work environment. Handling customer concerns with professionalism and care ensures sustained customer loyalty and brand reputation.

Your financial management skills will be put to use by overseeing the restaurant’s budget, managing profit and loss responsibilities, and making strategic decisions to propel the business forward. You will collaborate closely with the franchise owner and team members to set financial targets and operational goals. Physical involvement is part of the job, including regular inspections and maintenance of cleanliness inside the restaurant and its surrounding area.

Ideal candidates will meet several essential criteria including possessing a high school diploma or GED, though a college or university degree is preferred. Experience ranging from two to four years in a supervisory role within food service or retail environments is expected, especially where you have handled profit and loss responsibilities. Computer literacy and basic business math skills are necessary for success. Preference will be given to candidates who have been promoted internally from assistant general manager roles.

This role requires a minimum age of 21, passing background checks and drug testing, and reliable transportation. Given the physical nature of the position, candidates must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform cleaning duties like sweeping, mopping, and maintaining the restaurant grounds for up to 80 percent of their shift.

Joining this Taco Bell franchise team means becoming part of a brand that values growth, learning, and career development within a supportive and dynamic restaurant environment. This is an excellent chance to develop your career in restaurant management with a respected and well-established fast-food franchisee owner, mastering business skills and leadership capabilities that can lead to long-term success and advancement.
