Job Description
This opportunity is at an established restaurant brand looking for a skilled Area Coach (AC) who will play a key leadership role in driving operations and team performance across multiple locations. The employer is well recognized for its commitment to delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of product quality, and fostering a positive team environment. This position is critical to achieving operational goals and financial targets while upholding the brand's values and standards. The Area Coach will provide direct supervision to Associate General Managers, Shift Managers, and hourly crew members, ensuring consistency and excellence in the restaurant experience.
The role of Area Coach involves comprehensive oversight and leadership of restaurant operations with a focus on not only meeting but exceeding annual operating plans. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing food service or retail teams, with strong capabilities in financial analysis, employee development, and operational execution. Responsibilities include ensuring fast, accurate service and superior customer relations to enhance guest satisfaction. The Area Coach will be instrumental in maintaining company standards related to food safety, product specifications, and facility upkeep.
Alongside daily operational supervision, the Area Coach will also take an active, hands-on approach to training employees and managers, providing direct support in customer service issues and operational processes. Maintaining profitability by analyzing sales data, labor expenses, and inventory costs is a key part of this role. The position demands excellent leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate staff across multiple restaurant locations.
Human resource management is a major focus, where the Area Coach will be responsible for hiring decisions, performance management, compensation oversight, and maintaining a fair work environment compliant with company policies and federal and state regulations. Developing management staff and crew through effective coaching and training initiatives is an essential part of this role.
Success in this position is measured by achievement of the annual operating plan, sales growth, labor and cost control, customer service ratings, and employee retention levels. Expertise in customer service excellence, operational leadership, business acumen, and team development is critical to excelling as an Area Coach in this role. Candidates must demonstrate a passion for the hospitality industry and a dedication to creating a winning customer experience.
