Job Description

Key duties include managing food preparation, service quality, safety measures, sanitation, marketing initiatives, and financial performance. The General Manager will be responsible for cultivating a team-oriented, family-like atmosphere that fosters collaboration, accountability, and personal growth among employees. They will recruit, train, and mentor shift supervisors and team members, administering daily communications and performance reviews to maintain high standards.
Furthermore, the manager will be responsible for financial and administrative tasks such as controlling labor costs, food costs, and other expenses to ensure budget goals are met. The role requires accurate completion of sales, inventory, and cash handling reports, as well as diligent oversight of labor management to optimize performance. A deep commitment to customer service is essential, including addressing guest feedback and implementing strategies that drive sales growth and repeat business.
Safety, sanitation, and compliance with all local health regulations and KFC brand standards are critical components of the role. The General Manager must enforce all security and safety procedures, maintain meticulous team records and scheduling, and ensure the restaurant is always prepared for inspections.
In addition to operational and people leadership, the General Manager serves as the primary communication link with district coaches and leadership. They must keep training certifications and brand program completions up-to-date, consistently passing all evaluations, and demonstrate an ownership mindset by consistently striving for business excellence. The position also requires a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle with active insurance, basic computer skills, and flexibility for relocation if required.
