Batley's Grill & Bar is a well-established restaurant located in Neenah, Wisconsin, proudly attached to the Best Western Premier Bridgewood Resort & Conference Center. The General Manager position at Batley's Grill & Bar offers an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced restaurant setting. This full-time, salaried role requires a motivated and experienced manager responsible for overall leadership and success of the restaurant. As General Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensure financial performance meets company goals, develop and mentor the management team, and uphold the highest standards of guest satisfaction. This position involves working approximately 50 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods, reflecting the demands and energy required in restaurant management. Your responsibilities will encompass managing multiple aspects of the restaurant, such as staffing, scheduling, training, financial oversight, and compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations. You will also collaborate with other departments to support special events and promotions that contribute to the overall success of the Best Western Premier Bridgewood Resort property.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of management experience in food and beverage industry with emphasis on restaurant and bar operations
  • Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding revenue goals
  • Strong understanding of food, beverage, and labor costs
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing a high-volume operation
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest service

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations in accordance with company policies, procedures, and service standards to maximize guest satisfaction and profitability
  • Assume full operational and financial responsibility for Batley's Grill & Bar
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers and team members while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate team members to ensure the restaurant is appropriately staffed and positioned for success
  • Provide hands-on leadership by working alongside the team to train staff, address guest needs, and model expected behaviors and service standards
  • Monitor financial performance, including sales, labor costs, food costs, beverage costs, and controllable expenses, while identifying opportunities to improve profitability
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, drive traffic, and enhance the guest experience
  • Maintain a visible presence in the dining room, build relationships with guests, and promptly resolve concerns to ensure exceptional service
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and sanitation standards, liquor regulations, and applicable employment laws
  • Collaborate with other departments to support special events, promotions, and initiatives that contribute to the success of the overall property
