Job Description
Border Foods began as a simple idea between two brothers to open a Mexican restaurant and has since blossomed into one of the largest privately held Taco Bell franchisees in America. Dedicated to cultivating a people-first culture, Border Foods upholds core values such as Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment throughout every level of the organization. Their commitment to creating safe, welcoming, and supportive work environments ensures that both employees and guests thrive each day. At Border Foods, the mission is not only to serve great food but also to enrich lives by fostering development opportunities and building a collaborative family atmosphere for all employees.
As a General Manager at Border Foods, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of a restaurant operation by embodying and reinforcing the company’s core values. This leadership position is designed for an individual who is passionate about creating positive life experiences for employees and guests alike. As the General Manager, you will be accountable for the entire restaurant’s operation, cultivating a strong, motivated team that consistently delivers exceptional food quality and outstanding customer service. Your leadership will ensure that health and safety standards are met, financial goals are achieved through effective profit and loss management, and overall excellence is maintained in all aspects of the restaurant’s functioning.
The role demands a strategic planner who can develop short-term and long-term strategies for success while managing scheduling, training, and team development with an emphasis on operational excellence. Key to the position is fostering a culture of empowerment by identifying team strengths, providing consistent coaching, and offering career growth opportunities. Border Foods supports its managers with competitive pay that can reach up to $100,000 annually including base pay and bonuses, an annual trip to Mexico for top performers, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance for all positions, and a vibrant workplace that encourages ongoing learning, recognition, and development. This is a full-time exempt management role requiring a minimum of 50 hours per week, with some flexibility for varied shift demands including evenings, weekends, and holidays. If you are ready to join a supportive, family-oriented company that values your leadership and growth, Border Foods offers a rewarding career path where you can make a meaningful impact while enjoying excellent rewards and benefits.
