As the General Manager of Batley's Grill & Bar, you will assume full responsibility for the leadership and success of the restaurant. This vital role requires a professional who is experienced, motivated, and passionate about the food and beverage industry. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including financial management, team building, and guest satisfaction initiatives. This position demands a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who leads by example and inspires others to reach their highest potential.
Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining the restaurant’s high standards, optimizing business performance, and cultivating a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional hospitality. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing a dynamic team while ensuring staff are well-equipped to provide consistently excellent service. Additionally, you will manage operational details such as sales, labor costs, food and beverage expenses, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. A key part of the role involves fostering strong relationships with guests and the local community, resolving concerns promptly, and promoting the restaurant’s growth through innovative marketing and partnership strategies.
This is a full-time salaried position, with an expectation to work approximately 50 hours per week including evenings, weekends, holidays, and other peak periods. - Minimum of three years of management experience in the food and beverage industry, with an emphasis on restaurant and bar operations
- Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding revenue goals and driving financial performance
- Strong understanding of food, beverage, and labor costs, with a proven track record of meeting budgeted targets
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage a high-volume, multi-million-dollar operation
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest service
- The energy, adaptability, and vision necessary to sustain and grow a successful operation in a highly competitive and ever-changing industry
- The ability to recruit, motivate, develop, and retain a winning team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a hands-on leadership style
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations in accordance with company policies, procedures, and service standards to maximize guest satisfaction and profitability
- Assume full operational and financial responsibility for Batley's Grill & Bar
- Lead, coach, and develop managers and team members while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate team members to ensure the restaurant is appropriately staffed and positioned for success
- Provide hands-on leadership by working alongside the team to train staff, address guest needs, and model expected behaviors and service standards
- Monitor financial performance, including sales, labor costs, food costs, beverage costs, and controllable expenses, while identifying opportunities to improve profitability
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, drive traffic, and enhance the guest experience
- Maintain a visible presence in the dining room, build relationships with guests, and promptly resolve concerns to ensure exceptional service
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and sanitation standards, liquor regulations, and applicable employment laws
- Collaborate with other departments to support special events, promotions, and initiatives that contribute to the success of the overall property
