The role of the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) at Burger King is a crucial leadership position responsible for the overall success and smooth operation of the restaurant. RGMs report directly to the District Manager and oversee a team consisting of Assistant Managers, Hourly Shift Coordinators, and Team Members. The General Manager holds complete accountability for driving profitability and ensuring a superior guest experience through efficient restaurant management. This includes a primary focus on sales growth, quality customer service, team development, and adherence to company operational standards. The RGM is dedicated to problem-solving guest feedback by identifying root causes and executing actionable plans to enhance satisfaction continuously.

Additionally, the General Manager plays a vital role in recruitment and onboarding processes, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment. They lead by example, providing consistent coaching and feedback to develop team capabilities and raise performance standards. Scheduling and labor management also fall under their responsibilities, ensuring optimal staffing levels that balance operational efficiency with cost-effectiveness. This position is full-time and requires flexibility, including weekend, holiday, and 10-hour shift availability. The salary ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 per year with bonus pay opportunities. Job Duties

  • Reviews P&L to increase profitability for the restaurant
  • drives sales through proactive guest service, people development and operations management
  • motivates and directs team members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, friendly, and fast service in a clean facility
  • manages the guest experience through operations and timely response to guest issues
  • problem solves guest feedback systems to determine root-causes and develops action plans to address issues
  • identifies and interacts with the community to engage prospective guest and execute on local marketing initiatives
  • leads the restaurant's recruitment and selection process to build and retain an effective restaurant team
  • on-boards new team members by training and guiding them through the certification process
  • inspires the restaurant team by effectively managing individual and team recognition programs
  • provides coaching and feedback to all employees to increase the restaurant team’s capabilities and raise performance
  • manages restaurant labor using optimal manager staffing and team member scheduling
  • ensures that restaurant upholds operational and brand standards
  • performs duties of the Assistant Manager and Hourly Shift coordinator when necessary
