The role of Restaurant General Manager (RGM) at Church's Chicken is a pivotal leadership position responsible for the comprehensive management of a single restaurant location. The Restaurant General Manager leads by example, fostering an environment where team members feel valued, engaged, and encouraged to develop professionally. With direct oversight that typically includes an Assistant Restaurant General Manager and/or Shift Leader(s), the RGM ensures that all restaurant activities align with Church's Chickens' high standards for service, food quality, and cleanliness. The position includes responsibilities such as creating an inviting atmosphere for dine-in and drive-through guests, resolving guest complaints swiftly using a proven approach, and maintaining stringent operational controls that support financial objectives.

Key responsibilities for this leadership role include managing recruitment and training to build a capable and enthusiastic team, ensuring adherence to brand standards, and overseeing safety and sanitation protocols. Additionally, the RGM implements sales strategies and promotions effectively, monitors inventory and equipment maintenance, and manages administrative and reporting duties with precision. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior restaurant management experience preferred
  • must pass background check with no felony convictions
  • must be eligible to work in the United States
  • must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle with proof of insurance
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to handle administrative tasks and paperwork
  • excellent customer service and problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge or passion for the restaurant business
  • prior exposure to labor cost reporting and operating statements
  • basic PC skills including email and typing
  • strong integrity and ability to maintain confidential information
  • effective team leadership and communication skills
