Job Description

Border Foods began as a vision shared by two brothers who aspired to open a Mexican restaurant and has since evolved into one of the largest privately held Taco Bell franchisees in America. With a strong commitment to a people-first mantra, Border Foods emphasizes a culture where every team member, from cooks to cashiers to restaurant managers, is valued and supported. This dedication to fostering a positive and empowering work environment is reflected in the company’s Core Values: Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment. Border Foods is more than just a restaurant company; it is a family that invites employees to grow, learn, and shape the future together while improving lives through excellent food and service.

The General Manager role at Border Foods plays a pivotal part in continuing this legacy. As a General Manager, you will be entrusted with the full operation of a restaurant, which includes building and leading a strong team that consistently delivers not only great food but also friendly and efficient customer experiences. Your mission will be to reinforce and embody the Core Values of Border Foods, nurturing a workplace that is safe, welcoming, and supportive. In this leadership position, you are responsible for creating opportunities that positively impact both employees and guests, ensuring a high standard of health and safety, superior customer service, operational excellence, and adherence to all applicable laws and policies.

This role offers competitive compensation, with potential earnings of up to $100,000 annually through base pay and bonus incentives, making it a top-paying opportunity within the restaurant industry. In addition to financial rewards, Border Foods invests in the welfare and growth of its employees by offering educational programs such as GED assistance and tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits available even to part-time staff. Furthermore, General Managers enjoy unique perks such as free food, paid vacation, sick and holiday time, as well as a Vacation Donation Program.

The company culture celebrates excellence through active coaching, development initiatives, and strategic planning, which helps General Managers manage profit and loss effectively while fostering a strong and capable team. With a strong focus on accountability, integrity, and family values, the General Manager will also act as a problem solver and motivator, responding to employee and customer concerns with sincerity and professionalism. For those who wish to excel in their careers within a supportive and dynamic environment, this role offers unmatched opportunities and the chance to be part of an award-winning leadership team, with annual rewards such as the exclusive Best of the Best trips to Mexico for top performers. Join Border Foods, where your leadership helps shape the future of one of America’s largest independent Taco Bell franchisees while advancing your personal and professional growth.
