As a company firmly rooted in a people-first philosophy, Border Foods champions a culture built around its Core Values: Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment. This commitment to developing its team and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests has positioned Border Foods as not just a workplace but a family where employees can grow professionally and personally.\n\nAt Border Foods, every role, from cooks to cashiers and restaurant managers, plays an integral part in live-enacting these core values daily. The company emphasizes learning, evolving, and shaping the future as part of its mission to make lives better. Joining Border Foods means becoming part of a supportive, value-driven environment dedicated to unlocking each individual's full potential and providing an outstanding guest restaurant experience.\n\nThe General Manager role is a key leadership position at Border Foods, tasked with managing all operational aspects of the restaurant while fostering a positive environment for team members and guests alike. The General Manager serves as the embodiment of the company’s core values, ensuring that all employees are held accountable and empowered to deliver excellence through teamwork and integrity. This role demands a strategic mindset to steer the restaurant toward financial success by interpreting profit and loss statements and effectively managing labor, inventory, and loss.\n\nIn this capacity, the General Manager builds, trains, and motivates a strong team that delivers not just high-quality food but also fast, friendly, and attentive service that consistently exceeds guest expectations. With a people-first mentality, the General Manager supports employee development by providing coaching, recognizing achievements, and creating a safe and inclusive work environment. The role also entails maintaining health and safety standards that comply with all local, state, and federal laws.\n\nPositioned in Saint Michael, MN, this opportunity offers top pay in the industry with a salary range from $50,000 to $100,000 annually, including the potential for a lucrative bonus program where General Managers can earn up to an additional $40,000 per year. Outstanding performers are rewarded with exclusive benefits like an annual trip to Mexico on the Best of the Best trip, education programs such as GED and tuition reimbursement, and scholarships to support continuous learning and career growth. Other perks include medical, dental, and vision benefits available even to part-time employees, free food, paid vacation and holiday time, sick leave, and a vacation donation program fostering a caring workplace culture.\n\nThis exempt management position requires a commitment of at least 50 hours per week, with flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed. The physical demands include sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently throughout the workday. Border Foods values diversity and inclusiveness and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer of minorities, women, protected veterans, and individuals with disabilities. It does not discriminate based on gender identity or sexual orientation. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and be ServeSafe certified.
