This job opportunity is offered by a franchisee of Taco Bell, a well-known and beloved fast-food restaurant chain specializing in Mexican-inspired cuisine. It is important to note that the franchisee operates as an independent business owner distinct from Taco Bell Corporation and its affiliates. This means if hired, your employment will be directly with the franchisee, who maintains autonomy over wage decisions and benefit programs, which may differ from one franchise to another. The role available is that of a Restaurant General Manager (RGM), a pivotal leadership position responsible for the comprehensive day-to-day operations of the assigned Taco Bell restaurant. As an RGM, you will work closely with your Assistant Managers and Shift Managers to ensure smooth operations, optimal financial performance, and superior quality of both food and service. In this role, you will take hands-on responsibility for many important functions. These include managing staffing processes such as interviewing, hiring, and training new employees, as well as conducting performance reviews to support continuous improvement and professional development within your team. You will oversee the financial aspects of the restaurant including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis, ensuring the restaurant operates efficiently while meeting financial goals.

Customer satisfaction is a top priority, and you will be expected to uphold the highest standards for product quality and customer service. Handling customer feedback and resolving complaints swiftly and professionally will be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, creating a secure environment for both staff and guests. Managing inventory, cash handling, security protocols, labor policies, and payroll accuracy are all critical components of this job.

The position also demands strong interpersonal and communication skills, as you will be dealing with various stakeholders, including team members, customers, and corporate contacts.   • Proven track record of P&L accountability

  • Basic computer proficiency, particularly email and laptop

Job Duties

  • Ensuring all staff members complete all assigned duties and serve safe, quality food in a friendly manner
  • Ensuring that the restaurant is a safe place for Team Members to work and customers to visit
  • Addressing and resolving customer complaints quickly and professionally
  • Following all cash, security, inventory and labor policies and procedures and ensuring that staff members do the same
  • Handling difficult HR issues as they arise, including disciplinary write-ups and terminations
  • Taking an entrepreneurial 'ownership' approach to the management of your restaurant
  • Ensuring that payroll is running smoothly and that all hours are correctly recorded and communicating with the payroll department at our home office
