The role of Restaurant General Manager at the KFC location in Hialeah, Florida, is a key leadership position responsible for the overall daily operations and success of the restaurant. The Restaurant General Manager directly impacts profitability through effective cost control, labor management, and inventory oversight. Core duties include managing product preparation, guest relations, restaurant maintenance, recruiting and retention of staff, financial accountability, and enforcing safety and health standards.

The General Manager is expected to lead by example, especially during peak hours, by actively engaging with guests and supporting team members. They will manage labor scheduling, inventory control, and coordinate routine maintenance activities to guarantee a safe, clean, and efficient restaurant environment. Recruiting, training, motivating, and developing staff members are critical components of the role, as is ensuring adherence to OSHA and local health regulations. Job Requirements

  • Follow procedures regarding operation of restaurant equipment such as fryers and ovens
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and carry loads up to 30 feet
  • Ability to push/pull up to 90 lbs and carry items up to 30 feet
  • Knowledge of and compliance with company human resources policies and processes
  • Adherence to company and city/state/United States safety requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Create value for shareholders through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management
  • Maintain highest level of quality, service, cleanliness and hospitality by spending time interacting with guests during peak hours and ensuring menu items availability
  • Take an active role in guest service and relations, monitor employee appearance, courtesy and suggestive selling techniques, and participate in marketing efforts
  • Control day-to-day operations by tracking labor and product costs to meet targets, order supplies, maintain inventory, control waste, plan work schedules, and follow procedures for product handling
  • Maintain productivity through effective recruiting, training and motivation of hourly employees
  • Operate routine preventative maintenance program, check and make minor repairs to equipment, building and grounds
  • Prepare and submit required reports using approved projection, cash control and security measures
  • Recruit, interview, hire, discipline, and terminate staff
