The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) at BURGER KING® holds a critical executive leadership position responsible for the overall management and profitability of the restaurant. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the RGM leads a team that includes an Assistant Manager, Hourly Shift Coordinators, and multiple Team Members. This full-time role demands a dedicated professional capable of managing daily operations efficiently while ensuring an exceptional guest experience, maintaining operational standards, and fostering a motivated team environment. With an annual salary range of $50,000 to $60,000 plus bonus pay, the position offers both financial rewards and professional growth opportunities.
The RGM’s primary responsibility revolves around increasing the restaurant's profitability through effective management of the profit and loss (P&L) statement, driving sales via excellent guest service, people development, and operations management. The role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate and direct the team to deliver accurate, friendly, and fast service within a clean and welcoming facility. Managing the guest experience is fundamental, involving timely responses to guest issues and using feedback systems to identify root causes and implement action plans to resolve problems.
Community engagement is another significant aspect of the role, where the RGM works to connect with the local market by executing community-based marketing initiatives that attract prospective guests and enhance brand loyalty. Recruitment and retention fall under the RGM's responsibilities as well, with leadership in hiring processes and onboarding new team members by training and guiding them through certification programs.
Moreover, the RGM is expected to inspire the entire restaurant team by managing recognition programs, providing coaching and feedback to improve team capabilities, and ensuring efficient labor management through optimal manager staffing and team member scheduling. Operational and brand standards must be maintained at all times to uphold BURGER KING®'s reputation for quality and service. Additionally, at times, the RGM may perform the duties of the Assistant Manager or Hourly Shift Coordinator to ensure smooth operations during peak periods or staff shortages.

Job Duties
- Reviews P&L to increase profitability for the restaurant
- Drives sales through proactive guest service, people development & operations management
- Motivates and directs team members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, friendly, and fast service in a clean facility
- Manages the guest experience through operations and timely response to guest issues
- Problem solves guest feedback systems to determine root-causes and develops action plans to address issues
- Identifies and interacts with the community to engage prospective guest and execute on local marketing initiatives
- Leads the restaurant’s recruitment and selection process to build and retain an effective restaurant team
- On-boards new team members by training and guiding them through the certification process
- Inspires the restaurant team by effectively managing individual and team recognition programs
- Provides coaching and feedback to all employees to increase the restaurant team’s capabilities and raise performance
- Manages restaurant labor using optimal Manager staffing and Team Member scheduling
- Ensures that restaurant upholds operational and brand standards
- Performs duties of the Assistant Manager & Hourly Shift coordinator when necessary
