KFC, one of the world's most recognized and beloved fast-food brands, is looking for a dedicated and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead its establishment located at 11935 Rosedale Hwy, Bakersfield, CA. As an independently owned and operated franchise by a KFC franchisee, this location is part of the global KFC family, committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through excellent food quality, cleanliness, and customer service. The role of General Manager is pivotal and demands a hands-on leader who drives restaurant success, fosters a positive work environment, and mentors team members to reach their full potential. As the Restaurant General Manager at this KFC location, you will be the number one leader overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations. Your responsibilities will include ownership of the restaurant’s success metrics, from financial performance to guest service standards. Leading your team towards achieving these goals entails fostering a collaborative and customer-focused atmosphere. You will be responsible for ensuring that each guest receives a warm, friendly interaction, meals are fresh and delicious, and the entire restaurant is kept spotless and inviting. Developing your team is a key aspect of the role as you will recruit, train, and mentor staff members, providing continuous coaching to help them grow within the KFC family.

Communication within the team and with area leadership is essential, and you will lead the dissemination of business updates, promotions, and goal setting. Collaboration doesn’t stop within your restaurant; you will also partner with other General Managers and Area Leaders to share best practices and drive overall business growth. Operational duties include reviewing and submitting payroll, managing employee paperwork such as hiring and termination documents, maintaining compliance with company policies, and overseeing daily financial and production recordkeeping. Safety and cleanliness standards must be upheld at all times to ensure a secure environment for both employees and guests.

This leadership role requires a goal-oriented person who thrives in a fast-paced retail and food service environment. You must lead by example, maintaining high standards of customer service, food quality, and cleanliness. The General Manager role is physically demanding, involving heavy lifting, extended periods of standing, and managing safety around potentially hazardous equipment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle cash and perform payroll duties
  • Physically capable of heavy lifting between 25 and 85 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Normal hearing range to respond to auditory alarms
  • Ability to read menus, manuals, and training aids
  • Good manual dexterity for packing and cleaning
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in confined spaces
