The role of Restaurant General Manager at KFC Miami is a pivotal leadership position that requires dedication, strategic thinking, and hands-on operational skills. The General Manager is responsible for directing all daily operations of the restaurant, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards in product preparation, customer service, restaurant maintenance, inventory control, team management, and financial oversight. As the Restaurant General Manager, you will be instrumental in creating value for shareholders by implementing efficient operational practices, controlling costs, and managing profitability. You will maintain exceptional levels of Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Hospitality by engaging personally with guests during peak times to guarantee a superior dining experience. Guest relations and staff appearance standards will be closely monitored alongside employee training and development, ensuring both are aligned with KFC and Fulenwider’s brand expectations.

A key aspect of this position is managing labor and inventory effectively—tracking restaurant labor costs, food and supply ordering, minimizing waste, and preparing employee schedules for optimal productivity. You will also lead recruiting efforts, interviews, hiring, training, and retention strategies for hourly team members, fostering a motivated, skilled workforce. Establishing a safe, respectful, and welcoming work environment while championing employee recognition initiatives will be critical for your success.

In addition to daily operational tasks, the General Manager will oversee restaurant maintenance programs, conduct routine inspections, and manage minor repairs to equipment, building, and grounds to uphold safety and functionality. Financial responsibilities include preparing and submitting reports, utilizing reliable cash control and security procedures, and applying approved projection techniques to support continued growth.

Job Requirements

  • Follow procedures regarding operation of restaurant equipment (fryers, ovens, etc.)
  • The job entails lifting up to 25 lbs and carrying loads up to 30 feet in distance
  • The job entails pushing/pulling up to 90 lbs and carrying up to 30 feet in distance
  • Knowledge of and compliance with the company's human resources policies and processes
  • Adhere to the company and city/state/united states safety requirements

Job Qualifications

  • 1-4 years supervisory experience in either a food or retail environment, including profit and loss responsibility

Job Duties

  • Create value for shareholders through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management
  • Maintain highest level of quality, service, cleanliness and hospitality by personally spending time interacting with guests during peak hours and ensuring all menu items are always available
  • Take an active role in guest service and guest relations, monitor and correct employee appearance, courtesy and suggestive selling techniques and take part in company marketing efforts
  • Control day-to-day operations by tracking restaurant labor and product costs to meet targets
  • order food, paper and supplies, maintain proper inventory levels and control waste
