Job Description
BURGER KING is a leading global quick-service restaurant chain renowned for its high-quality, great-tasting, and affordable food offerings. Founded in 1954, BURGER KING has established itself as the second largest fast-food hamburger chain in the world. The brand, famously known as the HOME OF THE WHOPPER, has built a strong reputation over more than 50 years for premium ingredients, signature recipes, and a family-friendly dining experience. BURGER KING restaurants welcome over 11 million guests every day across the world, a testament to the brand's enduring popularity and commitment to excellence in the fast-food industry.
The Company operates primarily through franchised BURGER KING® restaurants, which are independently operated by franchisees who manage employment terms and business practices locally. This particular opportunity is for a Restaurant General Manager (RGM) to join a BURGER KING establishment where the General Manager will serve as the key executive leader responsible for overseeing the restaurant's profitability, guest satisfaction, employee development, and smooth operational execution.
As a Restaurant General Manager, you will manage the daily operations and lead a team comprising Assistant Managers, Hourly Shift Coordinators, and Team Members. Operating under the guidance of a District Manager, the General Manager holds overall responsibility for ensuring that the restaurant meets and exceeds performance goals. This includes driving sales and profits through effective people management, superior guest service, and efficient operations. The RGM is a pivotal figure in creating an environment where guests receive friendly, accurate, and fast service within a clean and welcoming facility.
Key to this role is the management of guest experience strategies including direct response to guest issues and feedback to identify root causes and implement corrective action plans. The role also involves engaging with the local community to foster brand loyalty and execute local marketing initiatives. Hiring, onboarding, training, and retaining an effective restaurant team falls under the RGM’s purview, with a focus on cultivating motivation, teamwork, and continuous performance improvement through coaching, recognition programs, and constructive feedback.
The Restaurant General Manager also manages the labor budget by optimizing staffing schedules for managers and team members, ensures compliance with operational and brand standards, and occasionally assumes front-line management duties during shifts. This role requires a candidate with previous restaurant management experience, strong leadership abilities, and a solid understanding of Profit & Loss management and drivers of restaurant profitability.
This is a full-time, on-site position offering a competitive salary in the range of $50,000 to $60,000 per year, with additional bonus pay incentives. The position requires availability on weekends, holidays, and the flexibility to work 10-hour shifts as needed. BURGER KING also offers a robust benefits package that includes flexible scheduling, health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, employee discounts, paid training, paid time off, and 401(k) plan options with matching contributions. No prior formal education is required, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals with practical restaurant management experience to advance their careers within a globally recognized brand.
