Job Description

KFC, also known as Kentucky Fried Chicken, is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain famous for its delicious fried chicken and signature recipes. With thousands of locations worldwide, KFC is dedicated not only to serving high-quality food but also to building careers, fostering communities, and developing future leaders. As part of a strong and dynamic organization, KFC emphasizes a culture rooted in respect, growth, diversity, equity, and inclusion, providing an environment that supports the professional and personal advancement of its employees.

The position offered is for a Restaurant General Manager (RGM), a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire restaurant operation. This role is a full-time leadership opportunity that involves managing both the business and people aspects of the restaurant. As an RGM at KFC, you will lead a high-performing team, ensuring exceptional customer experiences while driving profitability and operational excellence. You are not merely managing a restaurant but are entrusted with the responsibility to cultivate talent, create a positive workplace culture, and execute strategic business initiatives that keep the restaurant competitive and successful.

In this leadership role, you will be the face of the restaurant, engaging closely with team members and customers alike. Your daily responsibilities will include recruiting and onboarding new staff, developing tailored growth plans, coaching teams to achieve real promotions, and fostering a culture that promotes positivity, equity, and inclusion. You will also lead by example during busy service times to maintain high standards and resolve any customer or operational challenges promptly.

Operationally, the RGM owns all aspects of the restaurant's daily functioning, including staffing, scheduling, training, and maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and food quality. You will ensure strict adherence to KFC’s brand standards and procedures while managing the successful rollout of new products and initiatives. Financial leadership is a core aspect of this role; you will analyze financial performance metrics, oversee budgets, control labor costs, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with regulations. Additionally, monitoring the competitive landscape and leveraging digital tools to enhance guest engagement and service are key components of your strategic responsibilities.

Ideal candidates for this role are visionary leaders with a passion for people and a proven track record in managing teams and driving business results. With over three years of experience in restaurant or retail management, including people leadership and performance coaching, you will excel at motivating teams and improving outcomes through P&L analysis and strategic planning. Your communication skills will be excellent, and you will be comfortable using modern technology and digital platforms to streamline operations.

KFC is committed to investing in your career growth through professional development programs, leadership training, tuition reimbursement, and scholarship opportunities. The role also includes competitive pay with bonus opportunities, paid time off, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, and exclusive perks such as free meals during shifts and discounts on various services. Through the KFC Foundation, employees have access to financial assistance programs and education resources, including free college tuition at Western Governors University.

Joining KFC as a Restaurant General Manager means more than just taking on a job; it means becoming part of a leadership legacy where you can make a meaningful impact every day. You will be empowered to lead boldly, develop others, and grow a rewarding career with one of the world’s most well-known restaurant brands. If you are ready to make a difference and drive success in a fast-paced, supportive environment, KFC invites you to apply and start your next chapter with them.
