Job Description

KFC, part of one of the world's largest and most recognizable quick-service restaurant brands, specializes in delivering world-famous fried chicken and a unique dining experience. With thousands of locations globally, KFC has built a reputation for quality food, exceptional customer service, and a commitment to community and team development. This renowned brand prides itself on maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. Each restaurant operates as part of the broader KFC franchise family, supported by company policies and an extensive support network. As a leader in the fast-food industry, KFC continues to innovate and expand its menu options while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment for all team members.

The role of a Restaurant General Manager at KFC is a pivotal leadership position responsible for driving the success of one of the franchise's independently owned and operated restaurants. This position requires a hands-on leader dedicated to inspiring and mentoring the KFC team while ensuring the delivery of outstanding guest experiences. As the number one leader within the restaurant, the General Manager oversees all operational facets, including managing staff, monitoring financial performance, and maintaining compliance with company policies. The role demands a customer-focused mindset, operational excellence, and the ability to cultivate a supportive team environment.

As a Restaurant General Manager, you are entrusted with ownership of your restaurant's success metrics, accountable for meeting and exceeding goals relating to sales, customer service, and operational efficiency. Leading by example, you champion high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and friendly guest interactions. You play a critical role in growing and mentoring your KFC family by providing structured training, onboarding new team members, and facilitating ongoing development. Communication is key as you lead your team through business updates, upcoming promotions, and goal setting to ensure alignment and motivation.

Your leadership extends to fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere where teamwork thrives and every team member feels valued. Collaboration with other General Managers and Area Leaders is essential to drive business growth and continuous improvement across the franchise. Daily operational responsibilities include reviewing payroll, completing employee onboarding and termination paperwork, managing work schedules to balance service and cost-effectiveness, and ensuring a safe and clean store environment at all times.

Running the store smoothly requires attention to detail with record-keeping of financial and production activities. You maintain documentation as required by Area Coaches, Directors of Operations, and Human Resources to ensure compliance with company standards. This role suits a goal-oriented leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in every task, and embodies the true spirit of partnership and ownership. Given the physical nature of the job, candidates must be prepared for tasks involving heavy lifting, extended standing, and maintaining safety around kitchen equipment.

This opportunity to lead within the KFC family offers a rewarding career path for those passionate about food service leadership, team development, and guest satisfaction. The General Manager position is essential to maintaining KFC’s reputation for outstanding quality and service. Candidates interested in making a significant impact in their community while advancing their career within a globally recognized brand are encouraged to apply. This role is based in a restaurant operated by a KFC franchisee, meaning employment decisions and compensation are managed by the local franchise owner.
